Watch Johan Rockström explain planetary boundaries and their tipping points.

We're in 2025, and our decade is dubbed the most decisive for action on climate change. Where exactly do things stand? Biodiversity is also very interconnected with climate change.

The impact humans are having on the planet continues to grow, and as it does, protecting the world’s biodiversity is becoming an ever-increasing challenge. Just Transition

It is the vision of a fossil-free society that is inclusive and fair, ensuring that no one is left behind in the process of change. It emphasizes the need for policies and measures that protect jobs, provide reskilling opportunities, and ensure social equity while addressing environmental challenges. The concept recognizes that the transition must be socially just, considering the economic and cultural realities of affected regions. It calls for collaboration among governments, businesses, trade unions, and civil society to create long-term strategies that balance economic growth with environmental sustainability. A just transition also seeks to address historical inequalities and ensure marginalized groups are not disproportionately burdened by the changes.
